Balbriggan CoderDojo Begins Dec 4th.
CoderDojo continues its global expansion into Fingal with an Open Day for Balbriggan CoderDojo at the Castlelands Community Centre, Castlelands this Sunday December 4th, doors open 1pm. CoderDojo, for the uninitiated, is a global collaboration providing free and open learning to young people, especially in programming & technology. Our inaugural Balbriggan CoderDojo will be an Open Day with information for parents and the opportunity for potential Ninja’s (that’s what we call our members) to explore, see demos, experiments and sign up for future Balbriggan CoderDojos.
Balbriggan Coder Dojo is sponsored by Balbriggan Chamber of Commerce and we are also grateful for the support from Fingal County Council. On Sunday, we will have a FAQ sheet and general information about Balbriggan CoderDojo including our materials around child protection printed and available to parents.
For more information please visit our website www.balbriggancoderdojo.com (currently a work in progress) where you soon will be able to register for updates. CoderDojos are hugely popular and it is important to keep up to date and register for notifications of future events to avoid disappointment. In some areas, such as Dun Laoghaire in South County Dublin, there are long waiting lists of up to 300 kids for coding classes.
