Community Weekend
NATIONAL COMMUNITY WEEKEND –3rd to 5th May.
This has been rolled out by Minister Michael Ring and is an extension of the “meet your neighbour” initiative.
On Sunday 5th May Polka will be presenting a free Children’s Magic Show, featuring Magician Marta, in The Heritage Centre starting at 12 noon, seats limited. A Community Picnic in the Park Day is planned , from 1pm to 3pm. Just bring along your family picnic and enjoy meeting your neighbours. This day will incorporate recognition of the opening of the playground, MUGA as well as the native tree trail and planting of spring bulbs showing the overall improvements in the park. The day will be aimed at encouraging families and all residents to come out and enjoy time with each other. You are encouraged to leave your car at home and walk over if possible. As you know there are three entrances to the park, by the Community Centre, through Balruddery Fields or from R132.
